"Very nice hotel - but not a slam dunk."

Beuatiful, chic, and very well equipped boutique hotel. The restaurants at the Dome are world-class (espcially Sirocco) and you're right there! For such an upscale hotel, it was shocking to see that both TV in the room were quite old rear-projection tubes. I assumed they would go with flat screen LCD. Our view, wasn't very impressive, but I suspect that had much to do with the location of the particular room we stayed in. I would request a room facing the more of the city in the future. The walk to the Metro station is not exactly close...at least a 15-20 minute walk down a crowded narrow sidewalk at night. The Lebua was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again. Our view was not as nice as I was hoping for, and the in-room TVs were oddly old and not well matched to the rest of the room. The location is decent, but certainly some hotels have a better location. The metro is not near, but also not ridiculously far. The restaurants at the Dome - particularly Sirrocco are outstanding, with magnificent views - but they are not cheap AND, more importantly, you don't need to be a guest to eat there. So - there are certainly some drawbacks to Lebua, but the overall feeling for me was positive and I would stay there again provided I had the discounted rate I got through Agoda. If I had to pay their normal rack rates, I would not stay there. Shopping Tip : Take the Metro a few stations to Siam Center and go in the Paragon mall...the biggest mall I've seen in Asia.
