Trip Description
This tour includes three of the most unusual Buddhist temples in Bangkok: Wat Trimitr with its invaluable Golden Buddha (5 ? tons of solid gold) – Wat Po, the most extensive temple in Bangkok, with its colossal Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings – Wat Benjamaborpitr, the White Marble Temple, one of the finest examples of Thai architecture.
Wat Traimit
World famous Wat Traimit has its reputation for pure gold monument of budda. Unlike others, it's 60% in purity and has height of 3 meter. This stature was constructed in Sukothai period. When it was found in 1953, it was all converted with all dust for the reason of protection from myammer and nobody believed it was made of solid gold. Until the day, this golden Buddha was sleeping in the ground for 300 years. Wat Traimit is near the intersection of Yaowarat and Charoen Krung Road, near Hualamphong station
Wat Po
This world famous temple is located right next to the Grand Palace on the south side. It is one of Bangkok's oldest and largest temples.
Wat Pho was built by King Rama I nearly 200 years ago and houses the gigantic gold-plated Reclining Buddha. This unique image is 46 meters in length and 15 meters high with beautifully inlaid mother-of pearl soles.
Grand Palace
The Grand Palace is one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court. It used to be the residence of the Kings of Thailand. Here you will see palaces which were used for different occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple.
